I have just recently seen this movie and enjoyed it very much. I had seen the older one a few years back in school and have read the book at least twice. The modernization of the past movie and book makes this movie very enjoyable, especially if you have seen the old version and/or read the book. I highly recommend this movie to everyone. The movie and other versions of it, I feel, should all be seen.
