Working at a movie theater as a projectionist, I have the opportunity to watch basically every movie that comes out.

When I first saw the trailer for 'Black Snake Moan' I laughed and thought, "Great. Another 'Snakes on a Plane' Samuel L Jackson movie". But of course, I wanted to see it for the laugh factor. Many people have judged this movie too quickly based on the innuendo in the title, the images on promotional ads and on the fact that Justin Timberlake is in the film. Personally I loved every second of this movie. It tells the story of an older man and young woman who are both going through rough times and are able to reach out to one another. The story is truly touching and sends out a great message about life and how we live. Of course, I do not recommend it for young audiences due to some graphic material, but if you are looking for a great story and genuine acting from Sam Jackson, Christina Ricci and,yes, even Justin Timberlake, I encourage you to see 'Black Snake Moan'.

Toyama, a weak-willed businessman, is in debt to the Yakuza; they also have a video of him bribing a government minister. To clear his debts, he agrees to let them drug and kidnap his wife Shizuko, Japan s queen of the tango, and subject her to the proclivities of a 95-year-old voyeur, who s a Yakuza boss. After a masked ball, Shizuko is taken prisoner; she fights her captors, submitting only when the life of Kyoko, her female bodyguard, is threatened. Toyama feels regret and seeks to buy back Shizuko, but by this time, she may be enjoying her situation. Is she, or is she pretending in order to protect herself and Kyoko? Would she want a way out if there is one?

The conspiracy was shocking, but not half as shocking as the identity of its mastermind.

Ancient southern China. Meanwhile, two sisterly snake demons, the white Bai Suzhen (Eva Huang) and green Qing (Charlene Choi), are surveying the human world at their leisure when Bai rescues young herbalist Xu Xian (Raymond Lam) from drowning and both fall for each other. Qing is annoyed at Bai s love for a human, but agrees to tag along with her as they both change into female form to find Xu Xian again. In the meantime, he has met Fa Hai and Neng Ren, who are hunting down vampire-bat demons that have been causing death and destruction in the region. All five meet up in a canal town during the Lantern Festival, during which Fa Hai and Neng Ren fight some vampire-bat women but fail to kill their leader, the Bat Demon. Next morning Neng Ren wakes up to find he s starting to change into a bat after being bitten during the battle, so Qing, who s come to like him, reveals she s a demon too. However, Fa Hai lets both Bai and Qing know that he will not tolerate demons and humans falling in love, and he ll kill both of them unless they disappear.

Tooyama, an aging impotent art critic, sends his much-younger wife, Shizuko, to Paris to evaluate the work of Ikegami, an artist he sponsors. She discovers she s curious about sado-masochism, and soon she becomes Ikegami s object of bondage as well as his muse. Encounters with Ikegami lead her into a shadowy world of wealthy patrons of ropes, humiliation, and slavery. Ikegami discovers his protective side, and Tooyama reenters the picture. Once Shizuko can reestablish control over her life, she can make a choice.

The film starts with Abott Fahai with his assistant Neng Ren going to a front door to a snow blizzard. The ice harpy appears at the top of the mountains. Neng Ren starts to get her but the Ice Harpy freezes him. Fahai and the Ice Harpy start to talk then they start to fight each other. At the end of the battle, Fahai traps the Ice Harpy with his demon trapper which unfreezes Neng Ren. Fahai asks his assistant to confine her at Lei Feng Pagoda and the two of them goes back to the door which disappears when it closes. Later the films moves to Jin Shan temple, a place where monks pray to Amitabha. At Lei Feng Pagoda, Neng Ren goes upstairs to go to the magic circle where demons are trapped in. He tells the demons that if they make real progress in meditation, they well be released then traps the Ice Harpy in the circle. Then the movie now starts with mountains. One mountain has a waterfall and shows a naga slithering around while another one starts slithering with her. The two start enjoying their life and they look at the other mountains. Later, men who are climbing up the mountain to dig for herbs.
